If you’re looking at this photo of Ogden Point Breakwater thinking, “That looks familiar,” it’s because it is… except it’s been given a little makeover so that it’s square-shaped.

I’m grateful to Jo, who hosts “Jo’s Monday Walks” at her beautiful blog, RestlessJo, for introducing me to Becky’s “In the Pink” challenge. Becky is a talented photographer, and her blog, “The Life of B,” features gorgeous glimpses of beauty in the world around us.

So, here is my first entry in Becky’s “Square in September” challenge with a photo that is coloured pink. I never get tired of these West Coast sunsets, and cropping the photo brings out some of the more subtle details in colour and texture, like the delicate pink reflecting off the boat.

When I was a kid, I used to listen to a song by Huey Lewis and the News called “Hip to Be Square.” So I’ll end this post with a little ’80s nostalgia.

Yes, it’s hip to be square! Until next time, have a great week, dear readers!
