Most of the cherry blossoms in Victoria have already bloomed, so when I saw the theme of this week’s Daily Post photo challenge, I thought I’d have to find something else to photograph.

But lo and behold, the last best blossoms (in my humble opinion) have suddenly burst open.

Cherry Blossoms

It was a grey day today, so I added a filter to enhance the prolific pink. I love how the branches trace patterns on the sky.

These blossoms will last for a while before dropping petal by petal onto the ground… Victoria’s version of snowdrifts.

    1. Thank you! I’ve been telling people the advantage of being short in stature is I was able to stand right under the branches and look up, way up, when I snapped this photo. 🙂

  1. Ours are falling fast too. One day a blaze of glory, the next pink snow. No worries! The clematis and rhodies are on their way and the laburnum’s started to find its yellowness. 🙂 🙂
