I feel blessed to live on the west coast of Canada, a beautiful spot with beautiful weather (most of the time). Sometimes when many parts of Canada are experiencing freezing temperatures and snow, we Vancouver Islanders are strolling around, barely upgrading our footwear from flip-flops. I exaggerate a bit, but you get the idea.
In that spirit, I often cheekily share a “winter” photo like this from my little corner of the world to brag about our mild temperatures. So, since this week’s photo challenge through the Daily Post is to share something “Cheeky,” here’s my cheeky photo of an “I-bet-our-weather-is-better-than-yours” sunset on Dallas Road in Victoria, BC.
Sometimes, though, I eat my words, as not long afterwards we get hit with a bit of unseasonably cold weather of our own. 🙂
Perfect weather right now. A year ago, not so nice (snow). Lovely photo!

Thanks so much, Audrey! Brrr… yes, I was just thinking about that too, all the snow we got a year ago. I’d like to order up more of this clear weather for awhile. 🙂 – Jena
